Primarily, I am a feature film Director of Photography, having also shot title sequences for "A River Runs Through It", directed by Robert Redford and "Casino", directed by Martin Scorsese. Other credits include nationally broadcast PBS documentaries and many short films, along with an Emmy nomination for my work on "NYTV: By The People Who Made It".
I’m interested in shooting intriguing feature films with a positive message, and carrying out the director’s vision as Director of Photography.

"A fun social evening. We each get to see the variety of personas and characters and hopes and plans we encounter in the production business. Yes. The bar staff was friendly and courteous. And clean. I didn't get too much of the finger food, however, and there could have been a bit more of it. But no problem. I made connections. I've sent or will be sending follow ups to those people I met or who met me. Of course. I need and want to do a lot of networking. I've been a one-man band location scout / manager freelancer for years, and now I plan to be a company. Hiring people, either on a job by job or more permanent. That means I need to meet people and see who, what, where." -Mark McKennon

I really enjoyed the event as I got to meet so many amazing people in the industry across various areas. They all had interesting experiences to share and I felt I learned a lot more about my industry when I left. The World Bar was a great venue as it had tables and chairs to sit at, a nice bar with great drinks, delicious appetizers with vegetarian options and a nice atmosphere. I got to make several valuable connections that I could see myself collaborating with. I would attend the events in the future because this one was fun and I got to meet a lot of great people.
Twin brother composers, Eric O'Connell and Steve O'Connell, are building a solid reputation as the authority for custom soundtracks by translating visual works of cinematic art into blockbuster magic- most recently acclaimed for best original soundtrack in "If I Should Die Before I Wake." Known for their theme song "Knock Me Down" - to be featured in "All In Her Head", a documentary shedding light on a woman’s battle with a tragic, rare disease- these award-winning composers are turning heads garnering interest from the likes of NBC, CBS, and PBS and continue to build working relationships with some of the top producers in the industry.
We really appreciated the SilverScreen Networking Event at The World Bar where we met tons of friendly colleagues, many of whom we've since had the pleasure of collaborating with on film projects. We can't thank Kinyarda enough for hosting this invaluable event and look forward to attending more of these events very soon!
